If you’re someone like me who loves and cares for their hair, then you know that there are many products out there to choose from. I’ve been a regular customer of the hair-care brand called Hairburst and their food supplement pills are the secret to my long hair. Well, long for a black guy. I will tell you about the food supplement pills in a future post because, in this post, I’m going to introduce you to Hairburst’s shampoo and conditioner.

Hairburst S & C Box

First things first, the box with the massive text that says ‘For Longer Stronger Hair’. How though? Well, it contains several ingredients and vitamins that not only nourish your hair but also stimulate hair growth. These are avocado, coconut, Vitamin B5 and Vitamin E.

The shampoo and conditioner can only be bought together on the Hairburst website because they are designed to be used together. As you can see, these bottles are quite small. 250ML to be precise. You can compare the size of the bottle with a medium/normal-sized male hand which is quite small. I don’t shampoo and condition my hair on a daily basis, so this size is just right for me.

Apart from nourishing your hair, the product helps strengthen your hair and reduce breakage. On top of that, it’s SLS & Paraben-free. Everything seems to sound perfect so far, right? But does it work though? Well, I’m currently testing it out for a good minimum two months, and there are a few things I’ve noticed. The most visible that I’ve noticed after my 1st try is that after shampoo and conditioning I didn’t temporarily lose the volume in my hair! Something that normally always happens to my hair after shampoo and conditioner and lasts 2 days. Other than that I’ve only noticed the shininess of my hair, as mentioned on the box, if you rinse out your hair with cold water after conditioning, your hair gets that ‘fresh from the hairdresser shine’effect.

The only thing about this product that disappoints me is that it doesn’t hydrate the hair enough. This has been my issue with every shampoo and conditioner that I’ve used in the past. My hair still requires a lot of moisturizing cream after a wash. I was really expecting the conditioner to hydrate a lot more. Other than that, it’s too soon for me to see much change, so expect a follow-up blog post where I will tell you whether or not this product does everything it says it does. I’ve been using Hairburst’s food supplement pills for more than a year now, and I know that they work perfectly, so I’m curious to see whether the shampoo and conditioner are just as good.
